die vierte seite des projekts “vom essen besessen” ist seit kurzem online:

fischgericht.at screenshot
www.fischgericht.at

in english:
i present to you our newest online project: www.fischgericht.at is going to be our recipe archive for all things with fish.
the design is a pun on the german word for fish dish. the second part of the word, “gericht” means either “dish” or “court of justice”, depending on context.
all the comics were hand-drawn by my good friend (and extremely talented drawer, even though she’ll say that i’m exaggerating) chiara de cesare.

a week ago, i drove past a cornfield with so much poppy in it, it could have easily been considered an opium field with a little corn.
it was so beautiful, i got off the bike and spent the next 15 minutes trying to capture the scene.

just now, while uploading, i tried to remember where exactly that field was. i ended up using google earth to compare the lanscape and mountains, and retraced the location in no time: the area just east of volders, austria.

in the forests of venezuela, there’s a rare frog that offers views i never dreamt of: the glass frog (cochranella antisthenesi) is partly transparent and lets you see directly into its interior.

in this picture by h. & h.j. koch, you can see a female and her eggs.

A towel, [the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value.
You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapors; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth;
wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-boggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can’t see it, it can’t see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

happy towel day!
