i’m back at last. the last month was …undescribably incredible.

this is just a small post to send you greetings from cape town/south africa!
we’ve been traveling …all over the place in the last three weeks, and still have some time to stay in the region.
i can’t attach photos from here, so that will have to wait until i get home.
i do have some i’m quite proud of, though. ;-)
this is actually the first time i’m sitting in front of a pc since the end of august, and i’ve been missing it far less (=not at all) than i thought i would (=much).
i’ve been up since 05:45 today (after a somewhat short shut-eye), and this was my first (and extremely slow) train of thought:
“why is there a car backing up here at 05:45 in the morning?”
“it could be peter picking me up for work, but he said he’d be here by quarter to six. don’t think he would be AN HOUR EARLY.”
i look at the alarm clock: 05:45
“05:45.”
pause. looking out the window again.
“05:45???”
i actually go look at a memo i wrote to myself, which says “pickup: 05:45″.
“05:45 IS quarter to six!”
it’s too late for a late dinner now, so i just had an extremely early breakfast.
i took this photo in the blue hour, and i had a title for it before i even released the shutter:
in the peak seasons, the choir gets together several times a week for rehearsals and/or concerts.
it’s summer break now, and in a way it feels strange to only meet sporadically…
anyway, here are a few photos of a summer break barbecue at johannes’ place1, and a trip to the alpamare natatorium in badtölz.
