i’ve added this little animated gif to the respective gallery:

female glowworm (lampyris noctiluca)
female glowworm (lampyris noctiluca).
ony the (wingless) females are able to produce light.

it shows the same glowworm at “usual” lighting, and with a little more light so you can see what the bug itself looks like.
although they are called glowworms or fireflies, this really is a species of beetle.

i’m putting together a disc with all the prague photos from three cameras (using exif date changer to add a timestamp to the filenames).

cross-referencing them with my photos, i had to use these values to correct their exif data:

anna:
+1246 days
+16 hours
+23 minutes
stefan:
-389 days
+6 hours
-4 minutes

according to their photos, anna visited prague during christmas 2003, while stefan (a heartfelt IT student) will be there in june 2008. :-)

nice job setting the time & date on your cameras, folks!
