just returned from a 2-day-trip to lienz/osttirol this evening, and i feel like i have to name one of the major advantages of travelling with lots of children: in about 85% of all cases, there’s wiener schnitzel and french fries for lunch/dinner/both1. :-)
while i’m on the topic – there’s a funny german saying that i’ve found a few days ago:
“gemüse schmeckt am besten, wenn man
es kurz vor dem verzehr durch ein schnitzel ersetzt.”

a rough translation:
“vegetables are most tasteful if replaced with a wiener schnitzel shortly before eating.”
